The Reaper is an underground rapper originally from Detroit and now residing in Everett, Washington. This video for the song “No Way” draws a sharp contrast between the harsh economic realities suffered by most young Americans and the big talk offered by politicians. The gritty images take their cue from angst-fueled lyrics that both lament and celebrate the struggle for money. This is the anti-bling.
A departure from my typical producing work, I shot and edited this video as a favor to The Reaper and a chance to practice my camera and editing skills. I would love to do more projects like this, so call me if you need a music video!
